I've been using computers heavily since 1988, and have experience with many operating systems, application programs, and hardware platforms. My experience includes computer network infrastructure planning, implementation, administration, and troubleshooting. I have Windows Server, Unix (SCO, AIX, AT&T System V), Linux, and Novell Netware experience, and extensive experience with Ethernet, TCP/IP, token-ring, WAN technologies, and many network and application-layer protocols. I've performed administrative and installation activities on fibre channel and iSCSI base SAN equipment.
I have programming and application development experience in a wide range of languages and platforms, including 80x86 assembler, C, several flavors of BASIC (including Visual Basic), FoxPro, Microsoft Access, JavaScript, PERL, various Unix shells, and Pascal. I've developed many internal-use applications and several applications for Customers on contract. I've provided white and black-box code analysis. I've developed applications from the ground up and made modifications to existing applications.
I have worked as a "jack of all trades" in the IT industry, and my experience is very rich and varied, as a result. I have worked as a contractor in firms of many different industries, and have always worked to learn as much about my Customers businesses as I know about their technical needs. My Customers have ranged in size from small offices to multi-national Fortune 1000 corporations.
My occupational goals are to increase my personal experience in business and technology, and to apply that experience in providing services to businesses that result in a net increase of efficiency and profitability for my Customers. The relationships with my Customers are long-term, mutually beneficial, and built upon a solid commitment to always give my best effort and provide nothing less than exceptional results.
