Prior to joining NVP, Jim was vice president and general manager of the direct e-commerce solutions division of Beyond.com Corporation, a leading online software and services provider to businesses, government agencies and individuals. Jim's division, which he created, provided outsourced e-business services to a variety of partners including Autodesk, Compaq, Hewlett Packard, Network Associates, Symantec, and 3Com. Earlier Jim served Beyond.com Corporation as vice president of operations, responsible for category management, transaction processing, demand fulfillment, and customer service.
Prior to Beyond.com Corporation, Jim managed Accenture's (formerly Andersen Consulting) electronics and high technology strategy practice for North America and was a member of the firm's e-commerce core group. While at Accenture, Jim worked with senior executives to develop and implement winning business and operations plans for emerging technology companies in areas including software, Internet and online services, computers, communications equipment, and wireless broadband services.
Jim has also held executive positions at Booz Allen & Hamilton and Metaphor Computer Systems, which became a subsidiary of IBM.
Jim holds a bachelor of science in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
