I own three companies that are vertically integrated in the areas of financial services.
I have successfully sold real estate since 1986. I sell residential and commercial properties and I am affiliated with RE/MAX Associates Plus as a broker associate. I have been an owner and manager of rental real estate since 1986-first for my family, then for myself.
I became a CFP-Certified Financial Planner in 1989 and built upon that education with my other degrees and certifications. I was briefly affiliated with Prudential in 1990-1992, but left to start my own firm Financial Planning Associates in 1993. I have been an independent financial planner since then. My broker dealer is Multi-Financial, which is owned by ING. Neither Multi nor ING have any affiliation with any of the other services I provide. I am series 7, 63, and 65 registered.
In 1995 I started Venture Development. We are Minnesota based mortgage broker. We like to say "we are Minnesota's Premier Mortgage Broker". I also have loan officers that are affiliated with my company. My wife Patti runs the company with me and is our Vice President.
Learning is a lifetime pursuit. To quickley summarize, I have the following financial designations: CFP CLU CHFC CEBS CMB MBA MS. While this sounds like a lot of alphabet soup, it represents a lot of hours devoted to becoming better at what I do. My goal is to be the best, by becoming more educated I am able to add more value to my clients. I will always be involved in learning as I enjoy the edification that comes with being a student.
