I fight the habit of gravity by utilizing both sides of my brain - my niche is the rare resolve between the technical and creative aspects of web design and development often missing in many production environments. I am very passionate about my work and I wear it on my sleeve - right next to my heart and kidney (so, please, no pointing).
I have an extensive amount of interactive/web design and development experience utilizing the best practices and current web standards in (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, and Flash/Actionscript. I have developed innovative content management solutions to facilitate clients' needs while meeting budgetary constraints by utilizing unconventional, standards compliant methods involving server-side template systems, flash/actionscript, flash replacement, XML and/or Adobe Contribute.
My many years of web production has taught me the value of content placement and the relevance of a clear information/typographical hierarchy to assist: user needs, product/service focus, and search engine placement. I am highly experienced in the research and refinement of meta-tag keywords as well as content keywords to position my clients' sites at the top of their relevant industry search results by accounting for common misspellings, keyword density, and harmful keyword repetition.
I have developed many flash applications, including: hurricane trackers, dynamic screen savers, stand-alone applications, video games, image galleries, slide shows, and land developer lot maps. I have also developed flash widgets to: parse and display various RSS/XML feeds (Last.fm, Flickr Maps), randomly generate color schemes (COLOURlovers.com), and allow data transport for user info.
