Matt MacDonald’s Summary
On a good day, I'm writing advertising that makes our clients famous.
On a bad day, I'm arguing about the correct placement of a semicolon.
Here are a few of my good days:
- Spearheaded the national relaunch of Macy's in 2007 with the "Magic of Macy's" campaign. Somehow convinced Donald Trump, Martha Stewart, Sean Combs, Marc Ecko, Tommy Hilfiger, Jessica Simpson, and a host of others to appear in the same campaign.
- Wrote the "Clearly Smirnoff" campaign that propelled the quintessential vodka to become the number one spirit in the world.
- Work has been featured and awarded in Archive, Campaign, Andys, Addys, Clios, AICP, Effies, CMYK, One Show, PerezHilton, PageSix, and Access Hollywood. The same work was mocked once in The Onion and totally trashed by Katie Couric on her CBS Evening News "video blog."
Matt MacDonald’s Specialties:
I actively avoid the phrase "at the end of the day."
