I have been working in the HIV/AIDS field since 1994, starting as a volunteer telephone counsellor before moving to Cambodia and going into full-time consulting in mid-2004. I have implemented and managed creative and innovative HIV prevention programmes that targeted Filipino overseas workers, MSM, female sex workers, drug users, and young people through outreach education, counselling, and service provision.
I am also an excellent technical writer and editor. I write winning project proposals, logical frameworks, research reports, training manuals and modules, operational guidelines, abstracts, concept papers, documentations, annual reports/reviews, and scripts for print and broadcast media. I have written a number of Cambodia country reports, strategies and policy guidelines, as well as annual reports/reviews for various NGOs.
I have a number of published articles in newsletters, newspapers, and journals. He can also translate technical papers into documents for general reading. I have a good, practical understanding of how to translate strategy and policy into programs. I am also an award-winning fictionist and a published poet, writing in English and in Filipino.
Further more, I am an adept BCC materials developer and designer. My keen writing, coupled with his impeccable graphic design skills, has produced high-quality BCC materials both in the Philippines and in Cambodia.
