Manage Cisco Campus Data/VOIP network infrastructure, both wired and wireless, for 18 buildings on 190+ acre campus. Oversee and manage 30+ servers installed with Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Server, and Novell Netware. Provide 3rd tier tech-support for and mentor Help Desk technicians. Lead project implementation teams from concept to delivery meeting all budgets and timeframes.
•Implemented and manage new Storage Area Network (SAN) to meet growing data storage needs of the school.
•Designed and planned relocation to new data center, new campus backbone, and new technology office suite.
•Designed complete technology plan and managed implementation teams, for new 103,000 sq. ft. Junior High School and new 60.000 sq. ft. Maintenance Facility. Projects include a new fiber backbone, multiple network distribution points, and network controllable projectors and Smart Boards for every classroom.
•Implemented campus wide CCTV security system to bolster the schools security.
•Put into service a document imaging system to reduce the amount of off-site storage costs for paper records.
•Deployed secure Cisco Wireless Network on 190+ acre campus, inside and out for both voice and data, utilizing Cisco 1100, 1200, and 1300 series Wireless Access Points and Cisco Access Control Server.
•Spearheaded server OS migration from Novell Netware to Microsoft Windows Server.
•Converted school voicemail system to Cisco Unity for 700 users.
•Installed a Citrix Meta Frame Server farm to meet the remote access needs of students and faculty. This includes 2100 potential users.
•Oversee Identity Management from provisioning to de-provisioning including Windows 2000 and 2003 Active Directory and Group Policy management.
•Design and maintain a campus-wide video distribution system that streams directly to the desktop over existing network.
•Maintain disaster recovery plans using Veritas Backup Exec for more than 4 terabytes of data.
