Reza B'Far’s Summary
I have spent the past 15 years in software engineering working for large organizations such as NASA, Google Inc., First American Title, as well as being an integral part of several successful startup companies such as AdForce Inc., Voice Genesis Inc. (as the CTO), LogicalApps Inc. (as Director of Engineering), and eBuilt Inc. I'm currently the Director of Development for GRCC products at Oracle USA.
I have managed as small of a team as 5 engineers and as large as 30 engineers. I have constructed or reconstructed 2 engineering organizations. I continue to author, manage, and code. I will never get away from designing and coding while building on years of technical management. My management style is "metric-driven". I strongly prefer extremely flat organizations (believe that Google is the best run software engineering organization) and have replicated this model at other organizations. My technical areas of expertise remain in large scalable system design and implementation, software-as-service, mobile computing, and internet advertising.
My current goal is to continue to rapidly advance my career and income while at a position that combines my strengths in management and technical expertise (a mixture of CTO and Director of Engineering). I prefer mid-size organizations, but would consider positions at larger organizations given the right opportunities.
