Thomas Hakim’s Summary
I have been a Web Designer/Developer for sixteen years and Graphic Designer for eight years. I graduated from Platt College in July of 99’ with an AA Degree in Graphic Design and a Certificate of Completion for Multimedia. I received 2 Certificates of Graphic Excellence and was elected as “Speaker” for our campus at the graduation ceremonies.
My skills include proficiency in versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, ImageReady, QuarkXpress, InDesign, Dreamweaver, several FTP Programs, Microsoft Excel and Word, Fireworks, Freehand and familiarity with several other programs. I am well versed in using a digital camera and digital scanners, and I am able to type 58 wpm at 98% accuracy.
In my last position with Solana MedSpas, I held the title of Creative Director. In this position and as part of the nationwide marketing team, I designed and produced branding materials on a corporate and individual level, including, direct mail pieces, window displays, website design and maintenance, and much more. In a previous position, I managed the new corporate identity for DoveBid and it’s sister company, DoveBid Valuations Consultants (DVC). Managed artwork that was created by other designers within corporate and worldwide locations, including online banners, magazine, newspaper, and trade publication print ads. Distributed and managed the workload that comes from company’s Vertical Account Management. Created the monthly calendar for print and online workload.
I began designing and developing web sites in 1994. I have a thorough understanding of how the Internet works in the interest of the company, but more importantly, the client. My experience and perspective with the Internet, web design and development, and print has become a stepping-stone in my career. In my expertise as an Art Director and Webmaster, I have been dealing with client's one-on-one, problem solving to achieve client’s goals, designed and developed many web sites and worked with various outside sources.
