Xhosa (Zo-sa) Bates’s Summary

Xhosa joined Fox News Channel in October 1996 as one of the original staff members, shortly after the 24-hour cable network debut on the cable circuits. She began her career as a Production Assistant and later promoted to “Fox News Live” Associate Producer. Prolific in mobilizing and implementing strategic planning strategically, her role orchestrated connecting with the community, audiences and stakeholders.

At Fox News Channel, Xhosa supervised and coordinated key Breaking news coverage and daily event programming under tight deadlines. This included some of the most broad, complex and challenging international and domestic event stories such as Hurricane Katrina, London Bombings (July, 2005), The Funeral of Pope John Paul II, The disappearance of Laci Peterson, The 2004 Republican National Convention, September 11th US attacks, 2003 US Invasion of Iraq, Clinton Impeachment Trial to the OJ Simpson Civil Suit Trial.

Prior to joining Fox News Channel, Xhosa built her experience in special event management as an Assistant Development Coordinator at The Center for Children + Families, Inc. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Pace University located in New York City. In 2005, she exclusively and sought-after a post graduate degree program overseas specializing in Events and Facility Management at England’s Sheffield Hallam University. Her hardwork and dedication has paid off, she is the Programs Director for Women In Film in TV of Atlanta.
